Originally from England and Sweden, we have lived in Sri Lanka for many years. Villa Abiman is a project that has long been in our dreams. We wanted to create a comfortable, cool home, designed for tropical indoor-outdoor living. Important too was to design a home that will weather its oceanfront setting and maximise the sights and sounds of the sea. We have where possible used locally sourced materials, skills and design. Much of the wood is reclaimed, as are all the roofing tiles. Most of the furniture is made here in Sri Lanka and some of the textiles are printed by us at home. A lot of people have put large amounts of time into detailed work, for which we are very grateful.
We want Villa Abiman to be a welcoming, tranquil and comfortable place for guests and we hope you enjoy staying here as much as we do.
